I am Olesia
Dear pilgrim and walker. My name is Olesia, or simply Oli, as I’m known on the Caminos.
I’d like to tell you my story:
I have to be honest: the Camino de Santiago wasn’t love at first sight. At first, it was interest, curiosity, surprise and a lot of effort. That was my first Camino. I started as a pilgrim, then became a guide, later a booking manager in a travel agency, a contact person for pilgrims and walkers, and eventually an explorer of new routes.
In this way, over more than 10 years, I have supported more than 1,000 people directly and indirectly walking beside them through both the challenging moments and the joy of fulfilling a dream.
A Camino for everyone
Today, the Camino de Santiago is a fairly popular and well-traveled tourist destination, but don’t worry: it still holds its magic, welcoming everyone according to their tastes, needs, and abilities.
A life-changing experience
I relive it in person every year: picking up my backpack and walking, step by step, back to the basics the essentials: kindness, companionship, appreciating the beauty of nature and ancient architecture, the satisfaction of overcoming myself, and gratitude for the smallest gestures. This is how I stay connected heart to heart, with the Camino, with that journey on foot I made many years ago
Quality over quantity
At MICAMI, I don’t chase after large numbers of pilgrim-clients (even if people love big figures). I prefer to accompany just a few and offer them quality, closeness, satisfaction, and a desire to keep discovering, both outwardly and within.
