This is a route of approximately 275 km, divided into 14 stages, which runs mostly along the Atlantic Ocean between cliffs, wild beaches and fishing villages. It goes from Santiago de Cacém in Alentejo past the famous Cape St. Vincent and the historic town of Sagres in the Algarve, with the option to continue along the south coast to the beautiful town of Lagos. The terrain is mostly sandy and often windy.
